Easy-to-install Automatic Yard Watering System

Lindsay ~ 21 April 2007

They say the best time to water your lawn is in the early morning or in the evening, when the sun isn’t beating down on it, and the grass is best able to absorb the water. Great, but who’s going to get up at dawn to do it? And will you always remember in the evening after a long day at work? What about when you’re on vacation?

Ah, but an automatic sprinkler system can make watering easy. You can schedule when you want the sprinklers to turn on and off (this is helpful in eliminating wasteful over-watering too).

This automatic yard watering system from Smarthome is supposed to be easy to install (minutes to set up and no digging required) and can water up to four different sections of your yard, all at once or on their own schedules. You don’t need an outlet or anything to plug the system into as the timer runs on AAA batteries. The price for everything is $60.
