Outdoor Chair Made from Hockey Sticks
If you’re shopping for outdoor furniture, you can always go with the classic Adirondack chairs, but if you have a sports fan in the family, you could try something like this chair and ottoman made from hockey sticks. It might make a fun gift for a sports-obsessed Dad who likes to take a load off in between flipping the steaks on the backyard grill.
The chairs are made from Orfford Cedar, which you can preserve with a sealer that has a UV inhibitor (or you can let the wood age naturally; it should turn a silvery gray color).
If hockey isn’t your cup of tea, you can get outdoor furnishings made from other sports equipment too. Northline Express, the company that sells this piece, also offers chairs made from skis and baseball bats, benches made from snowboards and wakeboards, and swings made boogey boards. Prices start around $350.
