Reusable Grill Skewers Make Shish-kabob Easy
Cooking outdoors on the grill can be an enjoyable experience, especially when it gets nice out, but just doing steaks, fish, and chicken can get a little old after a while. (And let’s face it: it can be hard to convince the kids to eat such adult fare.) Why not mix things up with shish-kabob? Stick cubes of your favorite meats and veggies on a stick (throw in some pineapple chunks to please the children), and everybody can make theirs how they please.
You can use those cheap bamboo skewers available at the grocery store, of course, but if you think you’ll make shish-kabob fairly often, it isn’t a big investment to get some reusable, dishwasher-safe sticks.
These stainless steel grill skewers from Eva Solo even come with a handle (a nice aspect, since it’s easy to burn your fingers trying to rotate the skewers once they’re on the grill). At just over a foot long, there’s plenty of room to fit all your favorites into one stick, and since these are made from metal, you don’t need to worry about getting splinters in your food.
