Wood Mosaic Tiles, Beautiful and Now Practical

Lindsay ~ 21 January 2007

Traditionally, you haven’t seen a lot of wood tiles because the material expands and contracts, which can cause grout to crack and fail. The folks over at Flux Studios, however, have created a water-resistant grout that expands and contracts too. The flexible grouting system resists stains and is non-toxic, so it’s approved for indirect food contact. This is why the company’s beautiful wood tile mosaics can be used in any room of the house, including the kitchen and bathroom (though not in the shower stall itself).

Made from Chinese bamboo and sustainably harvested teak and rosewood, the mosaics can be used on floors, walls, bathroom or kitchen backsplashes, or to decorate just about anything else that suits your fancy.
