Salt & Pepper Shakers Just for the Barbeque
Lindsay ~ 8 January 2007
If you’re a grill aficionado and you like to season your meat while it’s cooking instead of after it’s done, you may take a pair of salt and pepper shakers outside with you. That means getting your hands hot, though, as you hold the shakers over the hot grill. These seasoning hammers from Uncommon Goods offer an alternative.
With their long handles, you can shake out the salt and pepper while keeping your hands back from the heat. That means no more singed arm hair.
The handles unscrew from the rosewood-stained hardwood shakers, too, so you can use the salt and pepper at the table afterwards, as you normally would. Each seasoning mallet is marked with an S or a P to eliminate confusion. The set is available for $20.
