Heart-shaped Bathtub, Obvious Choice for the Pink Girly Bathroom

7 January 2007

If you’re not afraid of pink (and, in fact, it’s your favorite hue), then you can find even bathtubs that are a tribute to this bright color. Not only is this 2-person whirlpool spa bath pink, but it’s shaped like a heart. And if you have trouble convincing your significant other to join you (I’m sure quite a few guys would cringe at the idea of bathing in a pink heart tub), then that just gives you more space to stretch out on your own.

The six hydrotherapy jets are designed to help you relax at the end of a stressful day. They are “strategically placed to target jet action to the shoulders, back, legs, knees and feet; providing relief to sore, aching muscles that collect the tensions of the day.” The tub itself offers a deep, contoured bathing well and built-in back support, so you can spend hours relaxing with your favorite book (if you don’t get too wrinkled up first).

My husband saw these and the first thing he said was, “What’s wrong with good old hand cutting?”

To explain, he’s a roofer (see our blog) who cuts metal sheets with tin snips. Maybe Black & Decker should make a professional grade of electric shears to add to their power tools line. Not that he’d use them….

At first glance, though, I tended to agree with him. It looks like a lazy person’s tool until you consider the excellent points you make. They sure would have made quick (and much less painful) work of removing the plastic packaging off Christmas toys this year.
