Black & Decker Power Scissors Make Cutting Easy

Lindsay ~ 10 January 2007

If you’ve ever browsed through the aisles of a large home improvement store, you know there are thousands of power tools on the market, some for specialists, some useful for everyone. At first I thought power scissors sounded a little unnecessary, but then I thought of all the things I’ve had to cut that are quite difficult. Specifically those molded plastic casings that all toys, electronic devices, etc. seem to be wrapped in these days. Other thick items such as cardboard are a pain to cut, too, if you’re trying to do crafts. Also, if you struggle with arthritis or other joint issues, power scissors could be a blessing.

The Black & Decker SZ360 3.6-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless Power Scissors are meant to take the work out of cutting everything from cardboard to vinyl to plastic and fabric (I suppose you could cut paper with them too). Available from Amazon for under $35, the electric scissors come with a durable plastic body, a “comfort” grip, and an ergonomic design. The set comes with the scissors, a universal cutting blade, and the charger. A full charge is supposed to give you 70 minutes of cutting power.
