StarGlas Rear Projection Outdoor Screen Turns Backyard into Home Theater

8 December 2006

If you’re thinking of turning your backyard into a home theater next summer, check out Stewart Filmscreen’s StarGlas rear-projection screen. Designed to withstand water and sunlight, it’s a way to watch television outdoors.

The StarGlas is based on a screen layer laminated between 2 pieces of glass, which includes an anti-reflective coating designed to improve visibility in outdoor light. You can clean it like regular glass and since it fits the specifications for safety glass, it can be installed in most residential situations.

If your backyard parties weren’t already making you the most popular guy (or gal) on the block, this is sure to turn a few heads. Everyone you invite can enjoy the latest blockbuster while lounging around the pool or chowing down your fine barbecue cuisine.

You can get a 100″ screen (big enough to watch from the middle of the pool) for $4,395.
