Grill Alert, Talking Themometer Makes Grilling Easier Than Ever

Lindsay ~ 13 December 2006

If you’re looking for a gift for dad, or anyone who likes to barbeque, this wireless remote meat thermometer could be fun and even practical (especially if you’re tired of dad burning the burgers). The gadget monitors what you’re grilling and a voice announces when your food is “Almost Ready” and “Ready.” This means you don’t have to stand in front of the grill and keep an eye on things the whole time you’re cooking. You can mix and mingle with your family and guests.

Just insert the stainless steel probe into your entrée, strap on the Grill Alert receiver (belt clip included), and wander about the house and the yard as you will. You can peek at the receiver any time to get the status of your dinner. Messages transmit up to 300 feet.

The wireless meat thermometer runs on 2 AA and 2 AAA batteries and is waterproof for easy clean up. It’s available from Brookstone for $75.
