Wireless Yamaha MusicCast Plays Music Anywhere in Your House
If the idea of having access to your entire music collection from every room in your house excites you, but the idea of running the wiring to set up a house-wide system makes you cringe, then maybe one of the wireless systems on the market today will interest you. One example, is the Yamaha MusicCast. It will cost you some money however.
The MusicCast revolves around a black digital audio server ($2,200) with a 160-gig hard drive (holds about 40,000 songs), CD-R/RW disc drive, and FM tuner. It can stream music from your iPod, home computer, or XM-satellite radio to as many as 15 wall-mountable MCX-A10 receivers (each one is $600, and up to 5 can be wireless), which can be hooked up to your speakers or the company’s matching set ($120 a pair). As you can see, the price can quickly add up, but if music is your passion, and you want access to your entire library from any room in the house, maybe the MusicCast is something to consider.
