Lamiante Countertops That Look Like Granite
Want to save money on your kitchen remodeling project while still achieving a high-end look? You might try laminate countertops instead of more expensive granite counters. Before you sneer at the idea of using a “lesser” material consider that laminate is virtually maintenance free and that many companies today can make countertops that look pretty darn close to the real thing. If you want the look of granite, travertine, marble, wood, etc. without paying the high price of these materials, then maybe laminate is worth considering.
Shown here is Maritime Blue Granite from Arborite’s Breccia collection. Inspired by “stones of Rome’s Colisseum, Venice’s Piazza San Marco and Florence’s Duomo,” the laminate countertops have a finish that is smooth but lightly pitted, as real stone would be, which mimics the look and feel of stone laid centuries ago. Maybe it’s not the real thing, but it’s not a bad imitation, and it’s quite a bit cheaper.
