Fancy Thumbturns for Your Deadbolt Lock

14 November 2006

Door locks are pretty utilitarian things, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have a bit of style. After all, you have to look at the thumbturn for your deadbolt lock every time you leave the house or condo (that is if you have a deadbolt lock… and it’s a smart and inexpensive piece of home security, so you should!). Why not add some interest and fancy it up a bit?

Nanz Custom Hardware does period-style door hardware such as this traditional oval thumbturn. The beaded knurl and cove enliven the roses (us everyday folks have to guess at what those words mean when applied to locks, but you can probably get the idea), and the thumbturn is available in a variety of finishes.
