English Boot Trays Keep Your Entryway Dry

Lindsay ~ 20 November 2006

Are you tired of people tracking mud and snow into the house? Even if you have a shoes-off-at-the-door policy, you’ll likely end up with puddles of melted snow or flakes of dried mud by the door in the mudroom, foyer, hallway, etc. An easy solution is an English boot tray stationed by the door. When people come into the house, they just take off their boots or shoes and drop them on the tray. That way you only need to clean the tray once in a while instead of sweeping and mopping the entryway on a daily basis. And because the boots are elevated, they also dry off more quickly, so you don’t have to stick your toes into wet galoshes the next time you head out.
