Tire Swings for the Environmentally Conscious
When I was a kid, tire swings were pretty commonplace, but we didn’t have any like these in our neighborhood. These swings are made from recycled tires and crafted into fun shapes, such as motorcycles (apparently this one is the most popular), dragons, horses, and dinosaurs. There’s even one designed to look like an old airplane. The prices range from about $90 to $150, depending on the size and the complexity of the design (a horse is at the low end whereas a T-rex or motorcycle will cost you the most). All models can be tied to a tree branch, which is a lot cheaper than building a big swing set for the backyard. And remember, these swings are made from tires that otherwise would have been bound for a land fill, so you can feel good knowing your helping the environment.
