Privacy Sheers, an Alternative to Curtains

Lindsay ~ 16 October 2006

What do you do when you want some privacy in your home (or you’re trying to cut down on the heat from the sun), but you don’t want to eliminate all the natural light from outside? Most curtains don’t do the job, but you could consider something like these Luminette privacy sheers from Hunger Douglas. They “marry the beauty of sheers with the privacy of soft draperies.” Perhaps more importantly, they let you block out heat gain from the sun while still letting in light. The sheers are made of soft, fabric vanes covered by translucent fabric facings, and they can be rotated so you can decide how much light to allow into the house.
