Want to impress your wine buddies at parties you host this holiday season? Maybe an inverted wine decanter will do the job (it’d impress me anyway). Available at just over $150 from Hammacher Schlemmer, the decanter is supposed to let you remove more sediment from your reds by pouring the wine over a glass globe resting on a mesh filter into this suspended glass receptacle. They say the end result is a wine that has been properly exposed to oxygen (AKA it will taste better). A stainless steel lever/spigot at the bottom is operated by giving the rim of your glass a little thrust up. This means you can pour your glass of wine one-handed without touching the decanter.
