Stylish Loudspeakers You Won’t Want to Hide

Lindsay ~ 13 September 2006

A lot of people spend a lot of time and money trying to figure out ways to hide their loudspeakers in their living rooms. Oh, sure, you want booming sound when it’s stereo-listening/TV-watching time, but when you’re having company over, you might not want some big, clunky speaker boxes sitting on the floor. That is, unless they’re stylish speaker boxes that look more like art than electronics.

The Bang & Olufsen company has quite a few speaker systems that are good at pumping out tunes but, even better, look like subtle “sculptural components” instead of obtrusive music monsters. I like the BeoLab 3 myself. They output 250 watts of sound, and at the same time aren’t something you necessarily feel the urge to hide. These speakers can sit on the floor, or be mounted on the wall or a pole.
