Strata Chair Is Inspired by Geologic Formations

22 September 2006

Normally I don’t look at wooden chairs and think, oh, how comfortable. Yet the Strata chair from the Stew Design Workshop does look very contour forming. Even without pillows or cushions, I think it’d be comfortable to sit in. Inspired by the geologic formations in the American Southwest, the chair has a smooth exterior that is juxtaposed with a rough raw interior (fortunately, that’s not the part you sit on). You can browse more interesting furniture at the portfolio section of the company’s site.
