Outdoor Utility Sink, No Plumbing Required

19 September 2006

An outdoor sink can be a smart addition to the exterior of your house if you barbeque often or do a lot of gardening. It means there’s no need to track dirt inside every time you want to wash up. A full-scale sink with hot and cold running water would involve some extensive plumbing, but SmartHome has an “Outdoor Water Center” that just hooks up to the spigot on the side of your house, so there’s no need for a costly installation process. The sink comes with a four foot hose to attach to your spigot, and you can drain the water with another hose (not included). So basically it gives you a place to wash up without requiring a major home renovation. At $90, it’s pretty economical too.
