Hercules Hooks Let You Hang up to 150 Pounds on the Wall

When we think of wall storage, we inevitably think of shelves, but there are other ways you can take advantage of wall space. These “Hercules Hooks“* are supposed to let you hang up to 150 pounds of weight from them. Even if they only partially live up to the hype and held 50 pounds or so, that’d be a pretty handy hook. You could hang plants, heavy pictures, etc. and, according to the web site, only leave a “pin-sized hole” in the wall. (Maybe your landlord won’t even notice, eh?) The hooks sell online for $9.95 from TV Products for Less.

Has anybody actually bought these “Hercules Hooks”? If so, do they work or do they suck? For that price I’m inclined to think they’d suck… but I don’t know, maybe it would work to store a bike or something?
