Antimicrobial Rug Pads Resist Mildew
Rug pads are designed to keep rugs in place on hard floors, where they’d otherwise slip, skid, and bunch up. They also add some cushioning underfoot and extend rug life. These antimicrobial rug pads have an additional feature: they fight against mildew. That’s something that can start growing under carpets if they’ve gotten wet (spilled Koolaid, anyone?) or if they exist in a humid climate. It can be detrimental to people with mold and mildew allergies, so a rug pad with some added protection can only be a good thing. Shown on hardwood floors, these rug pads are available from a Touch of Class. When you buy pads, you don’t need to worry about matching them exactly to your rug, because they can be trimmed with scissors. Just get something a little bigger than your rug, and you’ll be fine.
