Designer Air Purifiers

If you’ve got allergies, or you just like the idea of living in a clean environment, an air purifier can be a good choice for your home. I’ve got one myself. It’s an ugly gray boxy thing that sounds like a jet engine when it’s on high. Now, if I had a nice and quiet designer air filter, I wouldn’t feel the need to hide it behind the ficus tree when guests are over. Today there are just such things.

The AirPod from Blueair is available in three solid colors and three patterns, such as the black and white damask in the picture. According to the company, the air purifier is eco-friendly as well as pretty. It cleans 60 square feet per minute but uses 85% less energy and 60% less material than models that accomplish the same thing. The unit weighs only 2 pounds, so it’s easy to move it wherever you need it. Expect to pay about $100 for the purifier and $20 for replacement filters down the road.
