Save Money on Water Bills with a Grey Water Collection System
Lindsay ~ 2 July 2006
Tired of high water bills? Well, there’s a money-saving alternative. Basically, you capture your discarded water and reuse it for other things. Specifically, grey water systems conserve water by taking water that would otherwise go down the drain, filling a surge tank, then using it to irrigate your yard. Grey water systems are a bit controversial, however (people are trying to decide whether there would be ramifications from using untreated alkaline water on soil), and they’re not legal in every state. But if it’s permitted where you live, it can be a wonderful way to save money on water bills.
