Fingerprint Wall Safe
Lots of people have safes in their home. And lots of people can’t remember the combinations to them, because the only time they open them is to take out passports, deeds & titles, “special occasion” jewelry, or other valuables that aren’t used on a daily basis. This means they often keep the combination written down some place where a burglar could stumble onto it. There’s no reason for that in the 21st century though. Biometrics technology that used to be too expensive for residential use has come down a lot in price, so today you can get a home safe that opens when your fingerprint is applied. No remembering number combinations required, thank you. This stainless steel wall safe from Stacks and Stacks is fingerprint-activated, holding up to six different fingerprints in its memory. It has a main storage area, and then additional hidden storage in the back (just in case someone forces you to open it, I guess). Designed to install between the studs in your wall, the safe costs $479:

Does anyone know if you can get fingerprint wall safes for less money? This thing looks really cool but $500 is more than I want to spend on a safe. A floor safe would be okay too. I’m just not sure where to look for good prices on these things.
