Custom Parquet Flooring
25 March 2006
Parquet flooring is a wooden alternative to traditional plank-style hardwood floors. Made of wood blocks, parquet installs similar to tiles and can be laid on existing floors (as long as they are clean and smooth). If you haven’t looked at the options out there in a while, you may be surprised by the number of rich, unique parquet styles available. From Herigate Hardwood Floors, Inc., this Walnut parquet is called Fontainbleau and measures 3/4″ thick and 18″ x 18″ square. It’s also available in Brazilian Cherry, Ash, Hickory, Maple, American Cherry, and Oak, with prices starting at $7 per tile for square sides and $9.45 for tongue-and-groove sides.
