A Downdraft Cooktop with Burners and Grill
Lindsay ~ 27 March 2006
Downdraft cooktops are big space savers in the kitchen, because they integrate ventilation (typically you need a range hood for this) directly into the appliance. This is especially nice if you want to add an island cooktop to your kitchen. Most likely you want to be able to look out at your guests while you prepare meals instead of into a range hood hanging in your eyes. The Jenn-Air 48″ Pro-Style Gas Downdraft Cooktop has four burner modules, a downdraft ventilator that pulls smoke and fumes down and out, and an “E-ven Heat” grill that’s supposed to add the flavor of foods grilled outdoors to your indoor meals. The price for the cooktop is $2,349.
