Finding extra places to store our stuff is a big concern for us packrats out there. Public storage units start at more than $100 a month, and some of us use those, even though we have empty attics. The people at SpaceLift are offering up a solution, a way to make storing stuff in the attic easier. SpaceLift is a remote-controlled platform that lowers out of the ceiling, so you can load it. (There’s also a model that comes with stairs that fold out of the ceiling, and then the platform rides up and down them like a cable car.) Expect to pay a couple of thousand for the convenience (not including installation), but it might be worth it if it keeps you from shelling out money for a storage unit elsewhere.
