We’ve talked about home elevators before, but we didn’t go into the benefits or cost involved with installing one. For basic models, prices start at $15,000.

Benefits of Home Elevators

  • When installed as the house is being built, they allow you to build up instead of out (good for land with small square footage or on sloped lots), and it’s more economical to construct a house that way.
  • They make carrying groceries and furniture to upper floors easy.
  • The upper floors remain accessible to those with mobility issues.
  • Elevators take up much less space than stairways.
  • Today’s numerous designs and styles allow you to customize them to fit your personality and your home.
