Luxury Manufactured Homes?
A “luxury” manufactured home? You’re kidding, right? Aren’t those the trailer park homes that get the roofs ripped off in hurricanes? Well… the manufactured home industry is working to change that “ghetto” impression people have of their houses. Seattle-based Gregerson’s Elite 7683E model comes with luxuries such as a gas fireplace, stainless steel appliances, soaking tub, double bathroom sinks, a butler’s pantry, recessed lighting, and a spacious kitchen with island. Not bad for a trailer park home, eh? The price for the Elite is $164,950, which includes delivery (Seattle area only). Of course, you still have to buy the land, pay for hook-ups, and build a foundation (if you want it to appreciate in value), but that’s a pretty good price considering the cost of housing in Seattle.
